A craft brewed beer or ale is one that is made in small batches by an independent brewery. The resulting product has a fuller taste and a more pronounced style than most mass-produced beers and ales. There are over 1500 craft brewers in the US alone, including several locally on Long Island, Brooklyn and New York City.
